Part III Literature
Novels, theatre and poetry: when am I ready?
- As soon as you are ready for a novel, go for it.
- Choose good known authors. Maybe starting with good children's novels might help.
- You are ready for a novel when you can at least understand what is roughly going on, despite not understanding many things.
- Don't look in the dictionary. It's time consuming and a lot more difficult to manage. It distracts you from reading. It's better to figure things out from context.
- If you can afford it, buy the book. Then you can write on it. (If you can, avoid using companies such as Amazon. They try to avoid taxes and pay they workers badly. Support local stores. Sometimes you'll be surprised, the book comes faster.)
